Why Wood Pigeon?

« My paternal great grandmother Rosalia’s last name was Palumbo, which in Italian means wood pigeon.

Rosalia was a practicing shaman in Sicily and later in Connecticut. People would travel from all over to see her for various ailments. She grew nettles in her gardens, would make tomato paste under the full moon in summer and she did fire cupping! » -Caroline

It is said that the Wood Pigeon delivers gifts of physical, mental and spiritual healing. They are a symbol of community, as they are stronger in a flock and are often associated with gentleness and peace.
